Sterling Bank Services has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 73 contract to provide environmentally-friendly cleaning products to the U.S. Government. The award marks Sterling’s first GSA Schedule award. Through this contract, Sterling will be able to offer the Federal government the same great cleaning products it uses in servicing and maintaining over 1,000,000 pieces of banking equipment annually. As part of the contract, Sterling will offer the government favored rates on its general cleaners, metal cleaner, and graffiti prevention and removal products. For more information, please see Sterling’s government catalog.

In a move designed to accommodate our continued growth, Sterling Bank Services’ headquarters has moved to a beautiful new building at 3010 Santa Fe court in Missoula, MT. After several months of unpacking and settling in, employees are raving about the natural lighting and new environment. SBS is geared up and ready for the new challenges that will accompany even more growth in the years to come. If you happen to find yourselves in our neck of the woods, we welcome any of our customers or vendors to stop by and say hello.

SBS played host to the Entrepreneurship Class from Salish Kootenai College this week.  They visited our offices for a tour and overview of how SBS operates. Of special interest to this class of seniors was learning about the important role the Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council’s certification of SBS as a Native American Woman Owned Minority Business Enterprise has played in SBS’s success.

Salish Kootenai College is a tribally controlled college chartered in 1977 by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.  The College is located in Pablo, Montana, in the heart of the Flathead Indian Reservation in the scenic Mission Valley of northwestern Montana. To learn more about SKC visit their website at http://www.skc.edu/.

And special thanks to the students and to Tina Begay, their instructor for making the trip down to Missoula to visit us!

SBS would like to recognize a few of its star technicians from 2010!  These folks have done some incredible work and are at the top of the bar when it comes to conscientious quality work.

First, there was one technician with an almost perfect year.  His name is Ulysses Duterte and he is located in the Reno Nevada area.  Ulysses had 11 months with absolutely no, zero, zilch disapprovals. Congratulations Ulysses!

Coming in second, we had two technicians with 8 months of disapproval free work.  Neil young of the Kansas City area and Eric McCune of Phoenix Arizona. Great job Neil and Eric!

Two more of our best were Rully Huang of Southern California and Steve Liebenberg of Chico California. Both had 6 months with no disapprovals.   Awesome job Rully and Steve!

The special recognition walnut plaques shown below will be going out to these folks with sincere appreciation of their over-the-top work.   Thank you all for your outstanding work!
